Fort Sumter Fort Sumter from Fort Johnson. Rocky shoreline is visible in the foreground. Handwritten on reverse: '55.' Possibly taken the same day as another Paine photo (see MK 871), so date is assumed to be 1940. This is image measures 3 3/4" X 4 3/4".
