MEDICA MUSC Electronic Documents Initiative and Collected Archives. Introduction: The Process: The academic health science library at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) has formed a partnership with the Waring Historical Library (WHL), also at MUSC, to create MEDICA, the MUSC Electronic Documents Initiative and Collected Archives. The WHL began pursuing digitization as a means to preserve material and expose their unique collection to a wider audience. The MUSC Library found that the Waring's efforts provided an opportunity to launch an institutional repository that will showcase faculty and student scholarship. This poster will present the concept and process for implementation for MEDICA.
