Minutes of the regular meeting held on January 19, 1943

Our regular meeting was aheld on Jan. 19, 1943 at the Hebrew Institute.
The following Officers and members were present. Joseph Fromberg. CH. J. Goldman. Treas. E. Ellison. I. Lesser. H. Sholk. Nathan Goldberg. W. Solomon. Rabbi Axelman. Macy Kronsberg. L. Karesh. Ch. Slotchiver. Visitors Mr. Goldman of Brooklyn and Mr. Lieblich.x
Discussion took place upon the sale of bonds after Mr. J. Goldman read communication from headquarters asking our local district to cooperate and help them sell as many defense bonds as we can. While this discussion was going on, our guest Mr. Goldman from N.Y. who by courtesy of brother Macy Kronsberg asked the chair to permit him to say a few words in behalf of this drive. Our guest explained the reason why we should see to it that this sale of defense bonds should be fulfilled to the letter and wishes of headquarters. He stressed that victory will come to the United Nations we the Zionist will aslo reap the fruit of victory. He also suggested that after the drive to have a get together meeting with all the contributors and to bring a speaker for the evening, and thru this medium to revive our local organization and steer the concious [sic] of our community to join up with the cause of Zion. The Zionist organization of America was requested by our Government to put thru a war bond campaign in order to help raise funds for our nation which is so vitally essential for our victorious war effort It was unanimously moved and passed that our local chapter should full heartedly cooperate with the request from our headquarters and to see to it that the sale of bonds is successfuly [sic] carried through. The month of Feb. was set as our bond campaign.
The followinf [sic] officers and members offered their time and effort to solicite [sic] the sale of bonds.
