Yours of Mond. & Tues. or [cc?] today the [Northern?] mail was irregular today so letters did not come through and we have heard nothing further about Mama--I spent last [eveng.?] with Mama played [illegible] in afternoon--T. comes to the office very often but every thing is in such confusion that he has not [illebible]--After two days of cool weather it has got warm again--the garden [illegible line] with gale. Mr. P. & Keith now expected back from Edisto today--I gave P. [Mimmie's?] letter today--[illegible] still not well--M will make no [change/charge] at H. M.'s [illegible] [taking?] off the new doors in the gallery and [illegible]; the wall in in sober colors--all the pens have [been?] straightened (a very troublesome job) |
