Sampit (Thursday morning)
My Dear Daughter,
Your letter to your mother of Thursday, we received yesterday & were made comparatively happy, to hear, our dear Mary was better, nevertheless, we shall be anxious about her, until, we hear from you again, I hope, you will, therefore, write as soon as you receive this, & let us know her real situation; If she is not decidedly better, [nay?], well, your mother, will return immediately--
Your mother passed yesterday, with the Miss Myers', William & myself, passed the day with your Uncle Read.--I have no news to tell you, we are all well & write in love to all--
So my Daughter, direct Scipio, to do as much whitewashing as he can, all the under part of the house, & every where, about the house, that can be conveniently done, also the servants chambers etc
Your Fond Father--
W Wilkinson
