Accompanying text: "The old synagogue in the old town dating from the XIII century, is one of the most interesting sights of Prague. Incidentally it proves that the Jews settled very early in Prague. According to the chronicle of Cosmas, Jewish mercahnts and moneylenders lived on both sides of the river even before the old town had been founded. The Prague ghetto has disappeared, but the old synagogue and the old Jewish townhall opposite have remained." Rosenthall purcahsed this print in 1964 for $3.
