This flag has been hoisted and they are off once again

Whilst Thousands are rushing to Liberty and Fame

Then hurrah for the Guards life or death all the same
[on top of line] has been honuored amisht [amidst]truth
The name which they bear is all noble and old
[on top of line] non assured for every inch of thy land
And they will fight as they are able to stand
Then Hurrah for the Guards, there pride is to fight
For there Homesteads, there Liberty[']s, and the Old Southern Land
Hurrah for the Guards of Brave Richardson Land
They are now leaving there homes and the hearts that are dear
The bright sunny south, The land that is right
Let us help them with prayers, For the God of Battles is there
To strengthen them through the dangers of fight
Then Hurrah for the Guards thy leave us to night
Then on brave warriors your homes send you once more,
Fight in all justice, near look back or pause
Near return to the South near again unless in truimph [sic] and fame
You are fighting in honor, and true justice cause.
