The time for avenging our wrongs has now come
Then arise in your power, come forth ye brave men

Draw your bright weapons let your foes fall beneath
For opression [sic] we've stood, and we'll stand it no more
Then up Carolinians! Up brave men of yore.

Show your oppressors you are ready to fight
Let the war cry be heard throughout vally [valley] and hill
Let the bosoms of freemen, with freedom be fill.
Fight Fight for your Country its honour and truth
Fight in your strength your valour and youth
Then Up! Up Carolinians. Sound trumpet and drum

Let the name of brave Marion be heard in your cry
For justice we fight, for justice we die
Then on Carolinians, there's no time to be lost
Gain the brave victory what ere be its cost.
Then shall freedom's Eagle triumphantly wave
