Ashtray
Ashtray 2 x 20 x 12. Commemorative and association items. Wooden plaque containing two ashtrays. One is amber colored glass with a decal from U.S. Public Health Service and the other is white ceramic with the seal of the Medical University of South Carolina. Originally belonged to Dr. Knisely who was president of the Medical University of South Carolina from 1975 to 1982.

Drop Counter/Check Box
Drop Counter/Check Box 2 x 4 x 3" Infusions: intravenous. Prior to the introduction of the photocell drop counter this device was used at MUSC to determine drop rate IV fluidtherapy. Needles penetrated the drop chamber and while it worked safely and well it was quickly superseded by the non-evasive photo cell. (Approx 4 inches long by 2 1/2 inches wide by 1 1/4 inches deep) black plastic box with three buttons, drops per minute scale meter on front and drop scale on back, wire attached to plastic clamp which attaches to the plastic drop counter clamp (00-11)

Tooth Models 2 x 8 x 14".Dental casting technique: Color/shape guide."A sample card containing 78 hand carved ivory blocks in the shape of samples of teeth. These samples were made by dental students as senior projects at Northwestern University in the late 1920's and 1930's. The collection was assembled by Dr. Frank Anaturo. Northwestern Dental Faculty."

Crochet
Crochet 2"x 14"x 2.5" Steel instrument with a detachable curved rod and a smooth ebony handle with round steel rings for fingers that allow more leverage. This instrument was used after the perforator had made an incision into the head of the baby. The crochet was then inserted into the opening and used to remove the child from the mother.
