Fort Sumter Distant view of Fort Sumter across the harbor from Fort Johnson. In foreground, is the front end of a vintage Packard. Shore with barbed wire stretched across is also visible. Handwritten on reverse: 'Photo 3/1/[19]40 // M.B. Paine.' [#19 in Charleston parks and monuments series] Newspaper article glued to reverse: "Fort Johnson may be chosen as a National Historic Site." This is a 5" X 7" image.
